Dungeons & Dragons: "Everywhere"

I mentioned last week that the Sunday Night D&D Group had encountered "a city of elves whose ruler had stolen the throne on which he sat." We made our way through Lord Perrin's keep and ultimately to his throne room, dispatching any resistance along the way. When we finally had the elven ruler cornered and surrendering, a faceless assassin appeared and opened Perrin's throat in front of us. After a few round it was obvious that every attack Thunk made would be turned back against the party. So the Paladin and I told the rest of the party to leave, we would secure their escape. The assassin scoffed at our effort.
Seeing that the rest of the party would escape while the Paladin and Thunk sacrificed themselves, the DM offered up back up in the form of the elves who had reclaimed the keep in our wake. The assassin exited. Clear distinction... exited NOT escaped. I'm certain we'll be seeing him again.

Did you guys know that today marks the 3000th comic in the GU archives? That, to me, is cooler than the site seeing it's 13th year of existence.
Also...
Due to scheduling and family matters, I can't currently continue my job search. I'm locked into maintaining the comic beyond the 10th. That's both a good thing and a bad thing. It's a good things because I love making this comic. It's a bad thing because well, same ol' same ol': cash. I'm trying to free up time to take more commissions. But again, scheduling. **shakes a fist**
If you want to jump on the donation train, I'd appreciate it. Any donation you make now can be used against a commission cost later. Completely up to you!
Donate to GU (Thanks!)
