Guest Strip: "OA ER!"
Posted: Wednesday July 12th, 2006 by

Yeah, it completely skipped my mind that monday was GU's 6th anniversary or I would have made sure to do something special. Whoops.

Today's Comic, which I have titled "OA ER" for both obvious and not-so-obvious reasons, was submitted by Klied. [S]He had this to say about the panel:
Hope you like it!
I am terrible at coloring so it's still in the sketch stage.
What Klied didn't include was an explanation of any kind. And where I understand it, and even relate to it, on some level, I have no idea what it actually means. Maybe Klied, seeing his/her work on the site, will drop in to let us in on the joke.

And until the regular comic goes back up, I'd just like to point out that I'd added some new links to the GU Links List. Feel free to check them out.

Now, not to exclude any of the MANY wonderful web comics I've linked to for quite some time, I'd like to point out a few that I'd really suggest you guys stop by and check out:

· Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
Mookie (otherwise known as Michael Terracciano) is one of the single most charismatic people I have ever met. And, given the somewhat limited artistic ability, I think this magical charisma is what makes his comic so popular. I am of the firm belief that if his comic were nothing more than a white page (no artwork, no text, no nothing) his magical charisma would somehow come through the screen and captivate new readers. **shrugs**

· Blue and Blond
I met Chris, the writer/artist of Blue and Blond, near the end of this year's ConnectiCon. He had realized upon hearing about my comic, that GU had been responsible for him starting his own. He even brought me one of his books, complete with an abstract thank you to the unknown EverQuest comic that had gotten him started (that'd be GU), and signed it citing me as a "huge inspiration". Now, I know this isn't the only webcomic that inspired by GU. But, it's the first that I know of for certain.
