Collective? Selective? INTROSPECTIVE! Sweet...
( November 20th, 2009 )
As most of you know, I kind of have an issue with how much time I spend in Dragon Age sitting around listening to people babble on. Again, it doesn't ruin the game for me. I'm just a tad impatient and want to get back to the action. Well for as much as all the blah blah blah wears on me, I stumbled across something that made me drop my head into my hands and weep.
I bumped into an ent a talking tree called the Grand Oak. He needed me to find the thief who stole his "acorn", the thing from which he derives his life force. Now all of this is fine and good. I'm happy to help. But the Grand Oak only speaks in rhymes. It took all my Grey Warden strength to not chop him down and use the pieces to make werewolf traps. If I play through the game again, I will likely do so as a complete jackass (to get the other side of the story hopefully). And I doubt seriously the Grand Oak will make it out of that encounter unscathed. Now, I feel compelled to qualify this entire rant as it appears on the surface to be another anti-Dragon Age piece of commentary. But the truth is, I really do enjoy the game. I've made it to the Deep Roads with a drunken Dwarf companion. And I'm looking forward to playing the game again making non "good guy" choices. So ignore any grumpiness on my part. And if you have any desire to play the game what-so-ever, I strongly encourage you to do so. Consider that an official GU Stamp of Approval. The GU Fanflow
( November 3rd, 2009 )
A while back I saw this thing called a Fanflow. Basically it's a service to allow readers to access bonus content by way of a subscription. I liked the idea but hadn't pulled the trigger. But now the groundwork has been laid. Some assets have been uploaded, and the GU Fanflow is ready for subscribers.
I'll be using the fanflow to upload wallpaper graphics, non-GU artwork, videos of me working, tutorials by request, etc. You'll also be able to talk with me and other fanflow subscribers about the fanflow assets. I'll be asking the subscribers what they'd like to see next. And if the response is really strong my intention is to provide a bonus comic or two per month. You can access a free preview here: GU Fanflow - Free Preview But if you want to get at the goodies, you'll have to subscribe. The price per month is set at $3. I really hope you guys are into this kind of idea. We'll see how it goes. [ discuss ]
