World of Warcraft: "Nerd Fight!"

There have been rare instance in game where I have participated in a discussion of lore. Even more rare were the times the people I was having the discussion with were outside of my own guild. The reason is simple. I pride myself on Orc related lore. It allows Grek to hold fast to ideals that wouldn't exactly be popular with most of the rest of the non-orc, Horde races. Monday's comic provoked a lore discussion that started rough, but quickly worked itself out (Thanks Remban!). [more info]
The instance of someone referring to Thrall and Grom as if they were one character is true and it frustrated me to no end. Luckily it was not in a discussion with me. So, rather than trying to make a point with someone who was clearly ignorant, all I said was "Thrall and Grom are not the same guy" then I immediately left the zone. I wasn't willing to hang around to see this guy continue to blend the two purely to infuriate everyone else in the discussion. Don't feed the trolls, you know?
I saw more lore discussion happening on Timeless Isle last night. It made my skull hurt. I can only assume that they misread something somewhere, because neither side seemed to have a firm grasp of what they were talking about. Needless to say, I stayed out of it. I focused on getting my 20 elites and moved on.
That aside...
How many of you would have known what Ted was talking about if he'd said "boffer weapons" instead?
