The Zapper!: "Neversoft"

Neversoft absolutely destroyed the skateboard genre (in a good way). It was awesome. Then they got bought by Activision. And, without any experience creating rhythm/music games they got pegged to take over the Guitar Hero games. This was a horrible decision and, in my opinion, spelled the eventual doom of the company. But, they decided to go out with their own little "bang" by setting a physical representation of their logo on fire. [more info]
