Dungeons & Dragons: "Dirty"

After weeks of dragging my feet, I've finally committed myself to the miniature that will represent me in these the early levels of my first 4e adventure.
Now despite what the comic says, I have not yet purchased paints. That will come with time. But I'll admit to spending a LOT of time last night researching the possibility of sculpting my own shield, weapons, etc. to add to a piece I ended up with. That was before I made my decision to buy Scribor's Ducal Guard #3 though. That one's close enough I don't feel an overwhelming need to start modifying it... yet.
