World of Warcraft: "Gettin' the Finger"

After two years with the same name, Stormy got a demand recently that she change her character's name. Though her in-game name isn't Gnomeypoo it does end with "poo". And that was the issue. Despite its obvious intent as a cutesy "pet name" standing in contrast to her role as a Death Knight, it was deemed to be a reference to bodily fluid and thus violated WoW's naming policy.
After both she and I sent emails talking about how silly the request was especially when each expansion has introduced quests that specifically involve "poo". Or that at any given time we're surrounded by character names that are far worse.
I'm not sure if it was our protests that worked but she did receive a reversal and is now back to her original in-game name.
