Poopy Strip: "Day Off, Seriously"

Nothing special just needed a day. Well really it's not a day off I'll be starting work on tomorrow's comic here shortly. So since I don't really have anything to report on I'll just tell you what I did last night.
I ripped the eyes out of a bear.
No really it's true. As some of you may know Taks is minorly obsessed with Roller Derby. And the team she is on have a green bear mascot. Well the eyes on the mascot were too small so they needed someone willing to take on the challenge of giving the mascot's head a better range of vision.
Taks unstitched the pleather eyes with their tiny eyeholes a few days ago. But I still needed to commit to cutting the fabric, risking permanent damage, cut through the styrofoam head, make the eyes and install them. Luckily it seems to be going well. And the range of vision is much better. Let's keep our fingers crossed that I can get the finishing done in time for their next bout this Saturday.
So, my odd mascot adventure in mind, what's one of the weirder projects you've ever taken on knowing full well that you might not be able to pull it off?
