Warhammer Online: "Oh Paul, You Silly Goose."

Speaking to Eurogamer about Mythics plans for Warhammer's release in Europe, creative director Paul Barnett commented on the decision to partner with European Publisher GOA rather than Mythic's parent company EA, saying "EA couldn't have done it, what the hell would EA know about it? They know nothing about launching MMOs in Europe, unless it's spending lots of money closing them down I suppose." [more info] The next day Mythic co-founder Mark Jacobs stepped in to to try to smooth things over labeling Barnett's comments as sarcastic, funny and irreverant.

Okay so implying that Paul Barnett's head would explode if you tried to shut him up is mean and implying that blowing up his head wouldn't stop him from continuing to chatter is even worse. But let it be known... I really got a kick out of the day I spent listening to Paul explain warhammer to me.
It seems like forever ago now, but a few years ago Mythic invited me out to their studio to get a feeling for the game. While I was there Paul was drafted to tell me about the world, the races, etc. I can't remember laughing that hard before or since.
Sorry about blowing up your head Paul. Nothing personal.
