Stride Gum is lending their support to the petition to stop Uwe Boll's directing attempts. If the online petition hits 1 million signatures by May 14th, Stride will give each person on the list a pack of gum.

So yeah...
I get this feeling that this joke has been told before. But I'm okay with that. My feelings on the matter have been voiced, and now shall the wolves come to devour me for demonstrating my weakness.
I have no faith in "online petitions". From what I've seen they accomplish nothing. It's just a bunch of people tossing their name into an insignificant pot. Maybe an effective online petition could lend the whole process an air credibility. Is that petition going to have anything to do with Uwe Boll? Ever? No, probably not.
But, good on Stride for stirring the pot even if it is nothing more than a publicity stunt.
