Seven former NCSoft employees are currently suspected of having stolen source code from Lineage III and sold it to a major Japanese game company. The Seoul Metropolitan Police's assertion is that the employees, who left NCSoft in February, allowed the Japanese company to review the stolen software during a job interview and believe that the Japanese company may have copied the technology during the demonstration. NCSoft is estimating the value of the lost data at over $1 billion US based on their massive subscription base and sales to-date totaling over $1.6 billion.

It's one thing to lift the source code from a game company you were working for, but passing that code on during a interview at another game company? Wow.
I've read a lot about Lineage II, but have never played it, so take my semi-negative assessment of their source code with a grain of salt. I invite, no ENCOURAGE, Lineage players to tell folks here how much they enjoy the game to offset my position of relative ignorance.
