When Ted decides it's time to leave a message, he REALLY leaves a message. I mean, how could he not? After realizing he'd lost his hostage to Santa's A.N.T.L.E.R. unit, how could he make his point without truly upping the ante?
From my perspective, it seems a bit much just for an unfilled PS3 request. But hey, sometimes a gamer has to do what a gamer has to do. I'm sure in Ted's mind he feels that Santa started it.
And don't worry, the elves aren't dead; they've been tranquilized, tied up, and placed "accordingly".
