Gaming News: "Skinny Wench Mobile"

French mobile game developer Gameloft recently announced their plans to produce a series of mobile games featuring Paris Hilton. The publisher stated that the games would be geared towards teenagers and younger but that later games would be "aimed at gamers of other ages". But no indication was given as to the direction of the games. Hilton expressed her excitement over the deal extoling the virtues of cellphones, and labeling mobile games as being "really hot right now".

Give me crap about it if you like, but I have no problems expressing my dislike of Paris Hilton. I can't concieve of any way the game industry could benefit from this relationship, unless there's an untapped "rail-thin, self-absorbed twit" market that I'm unaware of. How she found her way into the gaming world is simply beyond me. My only guess is that someone layed sandwiches on either side of the door leading to the gaming world, and in order to avoid said sandwiches she stepped into our universe.
You'd think the gaming industry had sated their lust for hollywood-tainted pop-culture ignorance on Marc Ecko, 50 cent, the Olsen Twins, and the myriad of game-to-movie flops in the last few years.
But again, I may be a tad biased on the subject.
