EverQuest II: "EQ2 = World Series Win"

Last Thursday Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) announced that they had signed an endorsement deal with the 2004 World Series MVP pitcher for the Boston Redsox, Curt Schilling. The press release did not indicate whether Schilling would be promoting both EQ and EQ2, but it did state that the sponsorship would include personal appearances, media tours, and opportunities for fans of both games to meet Mr. Schilling.

To explain the titles, I don't think Curt Schilling is a whore at all. I think it's great that he's endorsing an MMOG. I wish other big name athletes, actors, etc. would come out and support the games they actually play. Mr. Schilling, on more than one occassion has talked about his enjoyment of both EQ and EQ2, so this endorsement deal seems to be the perfect fit.
But, being the cynical jackass I am, I almost had "the interviewer" calling Curt a whore in the last line of the comic. Which was entirely ridiculous, and a good bit unfair. Oh conscience why hast thou forsaken me?
