EverQuest: "Grouped to Bank"

One of my biggest gripes with Everquest was that I couldn't seem to accomplish anything without being grouped. I repeated espoused my view (to anyone that would listen, including the developers) that just because a game is full of other people doesn't necessarily mean I want to play with them. This is what it means to be extremely introverted.
For me it was just comforting to see other characters running around on the screen, knowing there was someone on the other end.
