Dark Age of Camelot: "30% Chance"

Like I mentioned a few days ago, I've been catching little bits of play time in DAoC when I can. Toast is getting his workout; and, I don't think the mobs are necessarily happy with it. He just waltzes in, smishes things, and walks off with armor and equipment of varying quality. Now, there's no indication as to why the quality varies. One would assume it's craftsmanship, or use. But, I have my own guesses.
Now keep in mind that I only played DAoC a little, shortly after it's release. All these years Toast has only been level 6. When I logged in to the game, the old Troll starting village was no longer a "starting village". Everything around me was conning purple with pluses. I had to create a new troll character to figure out where the new starting area was. Luckily I had the cash to catch a horse to Jordheim, and ran Toast to Mularn from there.
After a bit of questing, a few levels, I got a mission that lead me to the doorsteps of the Tomte's. Those of you unfamiliar with Midgard low level mobs, these guys are basically angry little lawn gnomes, that proceed to take their "your dog peed on me and I can only get work with Travelocity" angst out on any adventurers that wander too close.
After dying to them a couple of times, Toast derives great pleasure in smishing them flat, and taking their gear, pooped covered or not.
