World of Warcraft: "He has a Point"

I guess the news about the WoW Classic server has been out in the world since last year's BlizzCon. But, I didn't know about it until a week or so ago. Now, I get the value of of a Classic server from a Nostalgia standpoint. But, beyond that I don't get it. I mean, most of the changes to the game improved gameplay and overall quality of life.
Keep in mind that this is coming from a guy that never played on any of the EQ progression servers. And as key as nostalgia is in cementing the legacy of a game, we're never going to get barrens chat back. It's a thing of the past. It'll never be the same.
