Oculus Rift: "Virtual-ness"

The idea behind this comic comes from an opinion piece written by Ben Kuchera. [more info] The idea is, essentially, that technology in the VR sector has advanced enough that a game like Adrift, by Adam Orth, makes people feel ill, not because of the virtual effect, but the game's proximity to reality. Ben felt ill, not because of framerate issues, poor resolution, or bad design; he felt ill because he's playing as an astronaut floating in space. I've felt the same watching well made roller coaster videos, or, at times, in games when I jumped off of something tall, or dismissed my flying mount when I'm really high over a body of water.
I've not dabbled with any VR tech yet. I want to; it's coming. If you have, I'd love to hear your experiences.
