World of Warcraft: "Neverwas"

Oddly, in advance of BlizzCon, Blizzard has announced World of Warcraft's next expansion. Dubbed "Legion", we'll once again be asked, Horde and Alliance, to set aside our differences and fight the real enemy. Repetitive base theme aside, this is the return of the Burning Legion. [more info] And, I'm not excited about it. Quite frankly, I'm disappointed. For all the talent tucked in behind the walls at Blizzard HQ could we not have a new story arc? Do we really need to deal with Burning Crusade Part 2? And, should we be prepared to face the Lich King again in 2017, and Deathwing 6 months after that?
Sure my response might seem a little harsh. I was just hoping for something more out of the next expansion. I can understand needing to address the Burning Legion again. But, at most, it should be the final content patch of Warlords of Draenor, then we should be done with them for at least a decade. Not a word, rumor, whisper, or even a hint at that eye-hating, black/green color pallet.
So, i'm of the opinion that it's time for something new. Something that tests ideas instead of mettle and threatens to split long-standing allegiances instead of threatening to split the planet. I posted a short list of ideas to Facebook [more info], but I won't rehash them here. I'd rather hear what you guys think.
