I went back and forth trying to decide if I was going to drive out into the New Mexico desert to see if there were "millions of Atari E.T. cartridges buried in an Alamogordo landfill". In my book, the price was worth the nerd history. But I've never really believed the legend. I'm convinced that what's really in that hole is a handful of ET cartridges, probably just as many Pac Man cartridges, and an overwhelming amount of old hardware. Ultimately, I decided that finding out first hand wasn't worth the expense of the trip. I then followed that decision with the notion that I'd rather spend the money on tabletop games that my friends, family, and I will enjoy for a long time.
Having decided not to go out though, I figured you guys at least deserved an answer for what Ted and I might have hidden out there. I admit, when I wrote the first comic a few days ago I had no idea; I was just being random. But, a massive Bug Zapper seems as valid to me as anything. A Bug Zapper big enough to actually zap whole companies. Mmmmmmm. (I'm looking at you Zynga.)
