Borderlands 2: "Reviewers"

I rarely give game reviews much weight. And "rarely" becomes "never" when it comes to a game I like. But I have to admit being a tad baffled by some of the negative reviews I've seen for Borderlands 2. I've seen negative criticism of the loot system, the quest system, and even the art direction. **shakes his head** I dunno man.
I wanted to play Borderlands 2 despite my FPS inadequacies because of the art. Though once I got into the game, I enjoyed myself. It's run and gun. The loot system can be a bit overwhelming for someone who feels compelled to open every box. But, it's not necessary. I've learned to just walk by it. If I need health or cash I'll scrounge around. That's rare though. The game for me is more about zooming in with a sniper rifle and dropping targets from a distance. I love it when "Critical" goes flying up from the little white dot I dropped into the center of their faces.
Don't get me wrong, I still die... A LOT. But I don't hold any of that against the game. I love the art, and the game is straight forward, simple (brutal) fun. RedBox it for yourself before reading any reviews.
