Technically the game as a concept isn't dead, MGM Studios just stripped Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment of the license. There's so much more to the story that feeds the doom cloud hovering over the game. [more info] With Cheyenne Mountain bankrupt, stripped of the license, and MGM having its own financial problems it's hard to see this game ever coming to light.
Therefore, I'm calling it zapped though, as with all zapper fodder, I hope it's not well and truly done for. Good luck to anyone who may have lost their jobs in all the mess.
