Tuesday Mythic vice president, Mark Jacobs, confirmed to Shacknews that not everyone that worked on Warhammer Online will be credited for their efforts. Jacobs went on to explain that hundreds of people have worked on the game but that only current employees would be credited in the final game. He added, "Accreditation in Warhammer Online recognizes the incredible team that has poured their heart and soul into making WAR an amazing MMORPG experience". The IGDA (International Game Developers Association) has begun working on establishing crediting standards for the gaming industry.

This was originally the comic for yesterday. But I decided to give myself a day to cool down about it. I mean who am I to start bitching about a game I have nothing to do with? I guess the ol' softy in me believes that everyone should be credited for the work they do.
As I understand it, folks that worked on the game for years will not be given credit because they no longer work at Mythic. A former employee commenting anonymously for the article even suggested that Mythic "made sure to not include anyone in the list who was not at the office the day of the credit list creation". I can't help but seeing some unfairness here.
The IGDA is recommending that any person that contributed 30 days or more to a 12 month or greater project, or anyone that contributed 10% of the total developement time on projects shorter than 12 months, be given credit for their work on the game.
