Super Smash Bros. Brawl: "The Difference"
Posted: Tuesday March 25th, 2008 by

The other day was Taks' birthday, and after lunch with family and friends a few folks came back to our place for some cake, Rock Band, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Well, as we played, Taks was demolishing us with Donkey Kong. I jokingly accused her choice as being "cheap" to which she asked the same question Martin asks Ted in the comic. My answer wasn't nearly as clever because, truth was, we were all just mashing buttons trying to figure out special moves etc. Really it was Link we all had the most difficult time with.

Now, for the record, Taks was the only one of us that had really played Melee and this was the first time any of us had played Brawl. So, she knew a little bit better what to expect. But honestly everyone took a turn beating the crap out of everyone else with our preferred character. (I had the most luck with MetaKnight and Bowser.)

I'm not sure what the play experience is like going through the campaign solo, or playing heads up with someone else. I guess I'll have to address that later. But, if you can get four people in the same place and play last man standing, the game is awesome... "cheap" characters or not.

Today's Pimpage: Ted is wearing a "Clockwork Kit" shirt from Threadless.Com.
