Poopy Strip: "Melted Monkey Ass"

So yeah, I was sitting at my desk and everything seemed fine. The computer was doing what it alwasy does: yawn whenever I ask it to do something else.
Then I started smelling something. I thought maybe the oven was on downstairs and something was starting to burn. I check that out... nothing. I get back to my computer and start sniffing around trying to figure out where the smell is coming from.
In the next moment I hear a zzzzzzztPOP!
The monitors shut down and then I see smoke billowing out from under my desk. The loft area where I work still smells like melted plastic. And, I have no idea how extensive the damage to my computer is. All indications are that it was my power supply that went poof. But, if there was any kind of surge from the dying powersupply, I may well have lost everything. Right now, there's just no knowing.
There's a new power supply on the way. But, I'm terribly worried. Needless to say comics may be late or non-existant until the new power supply arrives. And, if I lost more than just the powersupply... it could be much longer than that.
These things happen. **sighs** And it seems they always happen in clusters.
I haven't backed up the GU source files in a month or two. So, let's hope this isn't exceedingly major.
