Late Night: "Hey Sailor"
Posted: Friday September 27th, 2013 by

You may have seen this outfit on GU before. But that's not entirely the point. I wanted to show a few aspects of Ted here: that naughty side we all know and love, the complete lack of gender discrimination in the costumes he chooses, and the need to be completely honest with Vessy. Sure he could have just SAID he was wearing his Sailor Moon outfit, but how much more does it mean that he was willing to go an put the costume on just to avoid a little white lie? And, which element is "hot" to Vessy? The costume? Or the unwillingness to tell her a fib? I honestly can't tell you that the answer matters to me from a story telling stand point. The question is what's important.

Now is the point in the writeup when I typically pimp something and this writeup is no different. I wanted to get into it a bit deeper this time though. Some of you who bothered watching the Alteil Horizons kickstarter probably noticed that Apocoplay cancelled the campaign. This doesn't change anything for me. I was paid for my artwork and I still support the project, which will be relaunching soon with a smaller goal in mind. I hope that when it rolls back around you guys will consider really looking at it, understanding that it's the epitome of an Indie effort fueled as much by love as it is by cash. I'll pass you the new project link when it's ready.

Next, I want to talk about the Reaper Miniatures Bones II campaign. I bought in to the first Bones campaign and I feel like I got way more than my money's worth out of it. And this second Bones campaign looks like it's heading a similar route. But the feeling of the campaign seems to have changed significantly. The first one felt like we were helping a company DO something. This one feels like it's focused more so on the money. Maybe I'm just looking at the campaign differently, or I've been biased by something, I don't know. But, my response to it certainly ISN'T the same as it was last time. Maybe it's the year long wait for delivery. **taps chin** At any rate I encourage you to go and at least give the campaign a look. Don't let my bias influence you out of potentially supporting the project. I know I'll be keeping an eye on it.
