Catan: "An 'Inside' Joke"

About a week ago the guys from Big Huge Games sent me a points card so I could buy Catan on Xbox Live Arcade. I played the game a couple of times and enjoyed it thuroughly; then, Taks absconded with the controller and hasn't given it back. Though I have sat on the couch quite a bit, watching and making suggestions while Taks randomly issues forth obsenities at the screen.
As for the comic itself, when I knew I was going to do a comic about Catan I hit the Big Huge website to get some links for the writeup. While I was there I noticed that Penny Arcade had already done a comic about the game themselves. Upon looking at that comic, my idea flew right out the window and the Continuing Misadventures of Broodax filled its place. (Note: I asked for permission before moving forward with it.)

I'd just like to pass on another thanks to Big Huge Games for inviting me to play Catan and to the guys at Penny Arcade for okaying me to proceed with this derivative work. I'll be adding a full review of the game to this post shortly.
