The Life of Ted!: "Impractical Joke"

I have a good few gaming jokes sitting around. But, I'm not really happy with any of them. They need some polish. So, I went to bed last night tired and having no idea what today's joke would be. And, where this one isn't exactly a glittering example of "gaming commentary", it is my depiction of what happens when people like Ted have trusting friends like Martin.
This is essentially a practical joke. And, in my mind, the more subtle a practical joke is the better. Something that seems innocuous, that you only realize was a joke a later on when your brain actually prcesses what you did, or what was said. I'll admit this isn't the kind of joke Ted would typically play on someone, then again he usually lashes out in vengence not in just good natured ribbing. Martin is too smart to fall for something more major. Besides, a little light hearted humor is a good way to end the week.
