Okay so maybe I think it's a bit unfair to ban ALL virtual item trades; and, banning gold farming bots is a bandaid on a broken bone. But, they are both good steps by South Korea to try to stem the tide of "serious hindrance" to "healthy game culture" in the country. [more info]
Sure it's nice to see gold farmers take a hit. But, with the ban of virtual item trades, so does Blizzard. They're already neck deep in trouble with South Korean internet cafe's because of Diablo 3's always on requirement coupled with continuing server issues. Now they're going to see some of the word's most prolific item farmers blocked from legally using D3's RMT Auction House.
I'm taking a bit of a break from Daily Doodles. They're fun, but I enjoy the inking and coloring more so than just the sketching and right now none of them seem to be funding. So, I'm going to step back and reexamine the situation.
