It seems Bethesda has decided to add some official Kinect support for Skyrim players.[more info] They have an update planned that will add 200+ voice commands ranging from follower controls to Dragon shouts. Unfortunately the update only seems to be coming for 360 users (at least initially). Sorry PC gamers using the Kinect.
Now, we know where I stand on the Kinect. I dig the concept; I just can't see myself actively participating in the process. A notion proven by my relationship to the Nintendo Wii. There's something about gaming that fosters a preference for using an actual controller (or keyboard). I can't explain it exactly; it's just a preference. Meaning, I can't see myself standing in front of a TV screen flailing about and shouting... especially if there are other people in the house. Ermm... broadcast sporting events aside.
So Skyrim Kinect 360 players, what do you think about this?
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I've been pouring myself more into making the comic's artwork more fluid, less copy-and-paste-y. In short I've been having fun with it. I'm an artist I should be giving myself excuses to draw fun things, rather than giving myself excuses to recycle artwork. Anywho, I just wanted to mention it That desire to enjoy drawing is probably why I'm having so much fun with the DailyDoodles as well. You can see those via the @gucomics Twitter account.
Side effect? The comics are taking longer to produce. Please just give me a few more days and I'll get my schedule worked out so that they're ready at 8am like they're supposed to be.
