Initially there was suppose to be a comic between yesterday and today. But it did nothing to advance the story. All it did was serve to further illustrate the lack of containment and the spread of No Thumbs. So, I cut it out and moved the plot along. Folks were already asking about Ted anyway. And you just knew his turn was coming. The question was "how". The supply closet from a few days ago served to answer the question easily enough.
Some readers have been expressing concern that I'm using No Thumbs to intentionally kill off known characters so that I can move on to Raptor Guts wholesale. That's not really my goal here. I've got zero interest in killing off Ted, the Zapper. Gaming News, etc. I'm just trying something different for my own sanity. The other webcomics I spoke to about it at ConnectiCon applauded the willingness to depart from my norm just to see what happens.
See video games have lost some of their luster for me in recent months. I've become completely jaded with the industry. I just figured if I used Raptor Guts to look at the same infor from a different perspective, I might just rekindle that gaming fire I used to have.
Then again, if a game came along that really gripped me, it's unlikely I'd need Raptor Guts' help to get back into the GU swing of things. Until one does though, I'll do what I feel I need to do in order to keep blood pumping through the heart of GU.
And if you're one of the three people that has expressed their dislike of Raptor Guts... uhhh... why are you still here? When I realize I've run into something I don't like, I stop subjecting myself to it. That's pretty much what any reasonably intelligent adult would do, right? I think it's called "choice".
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm visiting 38 Studios today.
