Woody & Ted: "Something's Up..."

In reality, my mom is coming to visit the kid for the first time. She'll be here tomorrow. We've been trying to prepare for her arrival in every spare moment we could find. And I'd like to tell you non-parents something that they don't put in the books: when you're trying desperately to find time to take care of the kid and do everything else you used to do before he/she is born (shopping, errands, WORK) the first thing that starts to get neglected is house cleaning. So, we had a lot of catching up to do.
The animals, having grown accustomed to not being chased by the vaccuum cleaner, have not been prepared for the amount of shuffling they've had to do the last few days. Now, my mom wouldn't fault us. She's dealth with two kids and three grandkids, she knows how these things go. But still, it's the first time she's been to my home in nearly a decade. so, we want to put the best proverbial foot forward.
Oh and if the comics are a bit later than usual, Taks is headed back to work and I'll be taking care of the kid during the day... when I usually do the comic. I'm sure we'll get the schedule figured out soon enough. Patience is a virtue. Now if I can just remember that myself. **whistles**
