GU Comics by: Woody Hearn

I feel kind of bad because I've always said, "I do comics about the games I'm playing". But, I haven't been doing any World of Warcraft strips lately despite the fact that I play almost every day. You see, when you're pretty much left to do the same quests day in and day out, you kind of lose the ability to make it funny.

Well, I noticed this weekend while I was preoccupied that the folks in the chat channel used the time to make jokes at my expense. Usually it's a joint venture where we volley back and forth. But, when I'm trying to attune myself to "The Relic's Emanation" I'm not exactly capable of responding. For those of you not familiar with the this particular quest, it's basically an oversized version of Simon (the memory game where you match longer and longer strings of blinking colors).

I'll be honest, I cheat. After the 5th sequence I write down the series of r, g, b, y (red, green, blue, yellow). Sure it only goes up to a string of 8. But if you get the sequence wrong, you take damage. So, I don't risk it. And I know I'm not alone, I've been out doing the quest and see people /say 13243 (assigning numbers to each of the colors) or /say nsews (assigning compass points to each of the colors), etc.

Anywho, I amused myself with it and that's the primary function of GU, to amuse myself.
