Gaming News: "1200 Points"

I mentioned recently that I felt Xbox Live pricing was a little out of whack. And where I don't exactly have a problem with the pricing of the Shivering Isles expansion (it was just a nice big number), the pricing of the Daily Show and Colbert Report episodes got my attention.

On the surface the episodes are only $2 each. But, if you didn't have cable and wanted to download every episode of both shows, you'd be spending $64 or so per month. Well... I don't know many people who would want to download every show even without the prohibitive pricing. But, it does occur to me that for $15 less you could pay for standard cable for the month (via Comcast).
I realize there are elements to the pricing that I do not fully understand. But, like I've said before, those elements are rarely important to the people who choose not to buy the products because they're "too expensive".
