Gaming News: "Contempt of Court"
Posted: Tuesday October 24th, 2006 by

Lawyers representing Take-Two Interactive in the recent trial determine whether it was suitable for minors have filed a "Petition for Order to Show Cause", which would basically require [SmackyWack, the Anti-gaming "Attorney"] to explain in court why he should NOT be held in contempt of court due to his comments after Judge Friedman ruling regarding Bully. If he is indeed held in contempt, [SmackyWack] could face fines, judicial censure, and even imprisonment.

[SmackyWack] is also up in arms about a boy-to-boy kiss that is possible in the game Bully. Despite the ESRB's proclamations that this scenario was factored into their considerations to rate the game T for Teen, [SmackyWack] wrote a snide letter to ESRB president Patricia Vance regarding the "gay sexual content" taunting, "Good luck with your 'Teen' rating now, Patty."

I absolutely loathe commenting on any news items that give SmackyWack any press whatsoever. But, when fellow forum member Eueadan said he'd place a bet that if SmackyWack got tossed in jail he'd blame it on Bully, my brain spun down a tangent that not only mocks the attention-whoring jackass, but belittles everything he stands for, and that's just fine by me.

In my opinion, Smacky Wack absolutely showed contempt for the court in his open letter to Judge Friedman. It's demeanined the process and questioned the validity of the judgement, it was littered with blathering and vitriol, if it's not contempt what is it? And his notion that a same sex kiss should be considered any different than an opposite sex kiss is abhorrent to me.

This man is intollerable and should be forced out of the area of law. He represents the close-minded ignorance that washes over people when they don't want to take the time, or spend the money, to examine the true causes of violence in the kinds of cases he champions. He is spotlight seeking schmuck.

This post is brought to you by the numer "4", the letter "C", and the phrase "heavy bias".
